Kind Words
“I started taking Alexander Technique lessons because I thought it would help my singing (and it did!). But, I discovered that the best part of Alexander is how it becomes a vehicle through which one can be mindful. I’m more aware of my body, my mind, my motions, my habits, and my thinking. It has made me a calmer, more present person. Kateri is a wonderful teacher. She explains each concept thoroughly, and her presence is filled with joy. I leave each lesson feeling better than how I walked in!”

RESOURCES FOR STUDENTS
A wonderful way to prepare your body for practice or performance! Constructive rest is a practice of lying down in a supportive position in order to allow your body to release excess tension, and your spine to lengthen. Based in the Alexander Technique, these guided lie-down talks provide an opportunity to practice awareness and establish freedom and ease in movement. Each installment is 15-20 minutes in length, and guided by Alexander Technique teachers Alexandra Kassouf and Kateri Gormley.
